Our client is a prestigious, Boston-based global investment firm and is seeking an experienced Compensation professional to join the Total Rewards leadership team in supporting a diverse group of clients in the Capital Markets business unit. The person in this role will be leading compensation design, modeling and analysis, competitive benchmarking, compensation planning/forecasting, and management of the year-end and mid-year compensation cycles.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Participate in the development of compensation strategy and related employee communications regarding compensation programs, including the development of a competitive compensation structure and consistent approach to pay decisions for all levels across the organization
- Collaborate with business unit HRBP leader and Finance to provide subject matter expertise and guidance on annual compensation reviews, bonus planning, and equity grants as well as to develop competitive offers including base salary, incentive compensation, equity, etc.
- Exercise critical thinking and excellent technical & business writing skills to synthesize the results of complex analysis into salient points and make data-driven recommendations
- Recommend appropriate solutions to specific compensation related issues as needed to support the business, and respond to manager and employee inquiries across the organization
- Create materials/spreadsheets on compensation and analysis for executive meetings, attending and presenting when required
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- 15+ years of previous experience in an analytical Compensation role; specific experience working in financial services is required
- Prior experience with carried interest plans a plus
- Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects / deliverables
- Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize and present complex information
- MBA and/or CFA a plus
