• We are very pleased to have been retained by a high-growth life sciences client to recruit their first strategic Total Rewards leader.  Our client currently has 125 employees, and as such, is looking for an individual who is steeped in the disciplines of Compensation & Benefits and who has an additional desire to partner closely with business leaders in a hybrid HRBP role.  Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role will have overall responsibility for the thought leadership on continual evolution of program methodologies and approaches, leading implementation of new projects and initiatives, and directing the service delivery outcomes.  Additionally, this individual will assume responsibility for the HRBP activities with a senior leader to drive the HR agenda in line with the company's goals, all through the lens of people.

    Specific responsibilities will include:

    • Determine and set the key annual compensation priorities by identifying the necessary items to support short and long-term goals as well as opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Proactively evaluate, recommend and deliver compensation and benefit programs including base pay, executive compensation, short and long-term incentive programs as well as employee recognition
    • Manage competitive benchmarking analysis for base, incentive and equity; conduct research to keep current on best practices
    • Manage benefit programs including health and wellness and make considered and data-based suggestions for changes and improvements
    • Partner with the CHRO and the HR team to further develop wellness programs that ensure employees create good habits in their day-to-day experience that include work-life balance, stress management and other initiatives that will engage employees, enhance the culture and drive the success of the business.
    • In addition to core Rewards responsibilities, we are a small and growing company with a need for members of the HR team to partner with line managers and senior leaders to better engage their talent. In this role you will work directly with a senior leader to develop and direct the HR agenda that closely supports organizational goals. It will be essential to learn about the organization and the team you will be supporting, and how they operate in order to build trust and serve as a credible partner.

    Ideal candidates will have a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in design, development, and delivery of total rewards programs (emphasis on compensation) in creative, innovative, high-growth organizations and industries.  Ability to work collaboratively in a team, facilitate cross-functional alignment, inspire trust and confidence from HR colleagues, business partners and vendors/customers.  Previous experience presenting to senior leadership team, and in preparing for Comp Committee and BOD meetings on compensation and benefit topics.  Self-directed, organized, detail-oriented, and results driven with a commitment to quality and accuracy.  It will be critical that this individual can work at the strategic and tactical level, and be comfortable shifting back and forth.  Five plus years as an HR Partner, and eagerly interested in engaging at this level with senior leaders and their teams around organizational and talent development topics, will be a significant plus.  Bachelor's degree is required, CCP or CEBS strongly preferred as well as PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
